Masala Vadai


Ingredients

1/3 cup plus 2 tsp chana dal
2 tsp urad dal
1 green chilli
1/2 inch ginger
1 tbsp largely chopped onion
1 tbsp coriander leaves
1 tbsp pudina leaves (optional)
1/2 tsp salt
Oil for deep frying

Method:

1.Soak 1/3 cup chana dal for abour 2-4 hrs. Also soak the the urad dal and 2 tsp chana dal separately.
2. Coarsely grind the 1/3 cup chana dal.
3.Add the remaining ingredients and the separately soaked urad and chana dal.
4.Make balls of the dough and then flaaten them and then deep fry n the oil till golden brown.
