Palak Paneer

Ingredients

2 bunch spinach
2 green chillies
1 onion
1 tomato(optional)
2 tbsp oil
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
1 bay leaf
1 tsp cumin-coriander leaves
1/2 tsp red chilly powder
250 gms paneer

Method

1.Wash and chop the spinach leaves and pressure cook the spinach with the green chillies and tomato(optional. Cool and then mash it.
2.Heat oil in a pan and put the bay leaf.
3.Now add the onions and fry till light brown and then add ginger-garlic paste.
4.Now add the spices and then the palak mixture. Fry and simmer for some time.
5.Shallow fry the paneer cubes and immediately put htm in cold water to get soft paneer.
6.Then add these paneer pieces in the palak gravy, simmer and serve hot with plain paranthas.
