I just love this recipe simply because it is so much less effort for a mutton curry and yet very tasty!
Ingredients
1/2 kg mutton
2 onions
2 big tomatoes
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
1 cup coriander leaves
2 dry red chilli pepper
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp pepper corns
1 tsp fennel seeds
4 cloves
1 small cinnamon
2 elaichi
1 tbsp roasted chana dal
1 tsp haldi
2 tbsp cumin-coriander powder
1 tbsp yoghurt
1 tbsp oil
1 cup water
1 and 1/2 tsp salt (acc. to taste)
Method
1.Grind the red chillies, cumin, peppercorns, fennel seeds, cloves, cinnamon, elaichi and dal.
2.Blend onions, tomatoes, ginger garlic and coriander leaves.
3.In a pressure cooker add mutton, ground powder of the spices, blended mixture, haldi, coriander powder, salt, yoghurt, oil and water.
4. Pressure cook till 4-5 whistles and switch off the stove. Then when the pressure is off , simmer till the gravy in consistent and thick.
5. Serve this hot tasty curry with rice.
