Beetroot Poriyal

Ingredients

1 Beetroot
1 tsp urad dal
1/4 tsp mustard seeds
5-6 curry leaves
1 tbsp grated coconut
1 tsp oil
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 green chilly

Method

1.Boil/pressure cook the beetroot and cut it into cubes.
2.Grind together coconut, cumin seeds and green chilly and keep aside.
3.Now heat oil and season it with rai, urad dal and curry leaves.
4.Add the chopped beetroot and mix well and cover it for about 4-5 min.
5.Now add the ground paste of coconut and mix well.
