Ingredients
1/4 cup urad dal
1 cup idli rice
1/4 cup chopped coriander
1 green chilly
1/2 inch ginger
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp chopped fresh coconut pieces
2 tbsp grated carrot
3 tbsp chopped onions
1/2 tsp oil
1/4 tsp mustard seeds
Method
1.Soak the rice overnight and urad dal for minimim 1/2 hour to 2 hour.
2.Grind it and then let it ferment.
3.Add chopped coriander, chopped green chilly, grated coconut pieces, carrot and onions.
4.Season it with oil and mustard seeds.
5.Grease the appam mould and put the batter in the mould and let it cook on both sides till golden brown.
6.Serve it with green chutney.
