Green gram sundal

A very nutritious snack full of proteins!

Ingredients

Green gram - 1/4 kg
Grated coconut -1/4 cup
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves - a few
Broken urad dhal - 1 tsp
asafoetida- a pinch
Chilly powder - a pinch
Salt - to taste
Oil

Method

Soak the green grams in water overnight.

Pressure cook the green grams (immersed in water ) till they are cooked

Stain the grams using a colander

In a frying pan , heat oil,crackle mustard seeds, then fry the broken urad dhal along with curry leaves till the dhal turns light brown

Now add the stained green grams , grated coconut, salt, asafoetida and chilly powder and mix well over minimum flame

Remove from stove and serve
