Ingredients
1 cup urad dal
2 inch ginger
2 green chillies
salt to taste
oil for deep frying
500gms curd
4 tsp sugar
salt to taste
1 tsp oil
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
4-5 curry leaves
Method
1.Soak the urad Dal for at least 6 hours.
2.Grind the urad Dal, chopped ginger and green chilly in a grinder/mixer with 1 tsp salt.
3.Deep fry 1 tbsp of the batter at a time to make the wadas.
4.Soak the above wadas in salted buttermilk and keep aside.
5.Now prepare the dahi: Beat the curd and mix in it the sugar and salt. Season it with mustard seeds and cumin seeds and curry leaves.
6.For serving, pour the curd over the wadas and garnish with corander leaves.
